Oral hygiene consultation

This consultation is essential for the prevention of oral diseases and for the maintenance of treatments performed by dentists, namely in the scope of implantology, orthodontics and periodontology, among others. The cleaning performed in this consultation includes the removal of hard deposits, ultrasonic scaling (dental cleaning), removal of soft deposits and polishing. Depending on the needs, topical fluoride or fluoride varnish may be indicated.

The oral hygiene consultation also allows the screening of dental cavities, gum diseases (periodontal diseases) and other oral lesions and diseases, and referral to the appropriate areas of dentistry.

Mobile extraction

Mobile tooth extractions are an excellent solution for our elderly homebound clientele when they can’t leave home to access dental care. Having a tooth pulled in your home sounds like a daunting proposition, but with the mobile In-House Dental Care crew, it’s as safe and professional as an extraction performed in a dentist’s office. With a tooth extraction house call, these patients are able to receive quality dental care in the comfort of their own home, which reduces stress and puts them at ease.

Upper and lower removal dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available — complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. Full or partial dentures consist of a gum-colored base made of plastic resin, which fits over the remaining alveolar (bone) ridge that formerly held the teeth. The prosthetic teeth projecting from the base are designed to look and function just like your natural teeth.

Dentures are held in place primarily by the suctioning effect of their close fit against the alveolar ridges — that’s why it’s so important that they are fitted properly. The upper denture also gets extra support from the large surface area of the roof of the mouth (palate), which generally makes it extremely stable.

Polishing

Tooth polishing, is a cleaning method to keep your teeth healthy. It is used to:

  • Smooth the surface of your teeth
  • Remove stains
  • Get rid of plaque
  • Make your teeth look shiny and clean
  • Prevent gum disease and irritation
